October 2018 has been MEGA for the Parenting Phils, we set out to have a jam-packed month of blogs, reviews, interviews, guest posts and giveaways with our ‘Rub-a-Dub-Dub, Thanks for the Grub!’ theme.
Well life through us a few curve balls to say the least, but guess what, we did it!
We’ve had some fab guest posts this month from Louise talking about her sons nut allergy and how it has changed the lives of her whole family, from Rachael who shared her journey to starting a family whilst living with epilepsy and from Phil’s big sister, Jenny, who sold us on the idea that we need to suck it up and get baking with our kids in her post that really highlighted the benefits.
Even Phil got inspired and tried his hand at making Minions biscuits with two 3-year-olds (rookie mistake).
Greg from the Bottled Baking Co. gave us a great interview about starting his own business whilst raising his son. The interview also kicked off our first giveaway competition to win one of the Bottled Baking Co’s delicious cake mixes.
We can’t thank all our guests this month enough for sharing their stories and thanks to everyone who took part in the giveaway!
The good stuff didn’t stop there though, as per normal, we had to have our 10p worth too.
Dr. Pips told us all about her son’s developing intolerance to dairy and educated us on the different types of intolerances that can occur. Phil reviewed the ‘Getting the Little Blighters To Eat’ book that helped change meal times in his household, removing all the stress and worry that can come with trying to get green stuff into your kids.
To top it all off, we got a bit ‘tiddly’ and recorded our first vlog called ‘Motivating Phil’ which was immediately removed by YouTube for a breach of terms… we’re still not sure why, we think it might have been the nighty Pips was wearing?? 🤣
The vlog was meant to help kick start Phil’s diet using XLS Nutrition and to also celebrate National Gin & Tonic day, which we thought we did rather well 🍸. If you didn’t catch it, then it’s over on our Facebook page.
We’ve really enjoyed this month and we hope you have too. Let us know which was your favourite in the comments below, we’d love to hear from you!
Thanks again, Phil & Pips x
